Welcome to Medusa Allure Beauty Studio. My name is Franchesca (Fran) Blandon, originally from Costa Rica and now based in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
​Professional Experience:
I have been working in the Beauty Industry for two decades, holding qualifications as a Hairdresser, Professional Stylist, and Makeup Artist. Alongside these roles, I am a passionate and versatile Visual Artist, specialising in areas such as Full Body Paint, Special Effects, Airbrushing, Ultraviolet Art (Black Light), Headpiece and Costume Design, Canvas and Wall Art, Creative Photography, and Digital Art.

​OTHER QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
I am fully certified in Advanced Cosmetic Tattoo techniques, including Ombre Brows, Feathertouch, Eye Liner, and Nano Lips. My skills also extend to Mesotherapy Skin Needling, Chemical Peeling, and BB Glow Therapies, with training completed at the Ananta Institute of Advanced Dermal Therapies and Aesthetics on the Gold Coast.

INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP & EVENT DIRECTION:
I am privileged to be the Official Hair and Makeup Director for the Australian Wearable Art Festival, a major event and runway on the Sunshine Coast. In this role, I personally recruit and lead a team of approximately 25 emerging and experienced hair and makeup artists across four shows, coordinating around 40 national and international artists and models.
​ACHIEVEMENTS & RECOGNITION:
Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous private and public events, displaying my work in live performances and competitions. My entries at the Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo and the Australian Body Art Festival have received multiple awards, including First Place and People’s Choice. I was also honored to serve as an official judge for the Australian Body Art Festival in 2024.

I am the Owner and Creative Director of MEDUSA ALLURE BEAUTY STUDIO, located in Sippy Downs, Queensland. My studio offers a variety of services, including Makeup and Hair Styling, Cosmetic Tattoo, Skin Needling, and Facial Treatments. Soon, I will be combining my expertise to introduce an exciting new artistic and technical practice.
