Welcome to Medusa Allure Beauty Studio. I am Franchesca (Fran) Blandon, a professional in the Beauty and Body Art Industries, originally from Costa Rica, based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

With 20 years of industry experience, as a qualified hairdresser, professional stylist, makeup artist, and multidisciplinary visual artist, specialising in body painting, special effects, airbrushing, UV art, costume and headpiece design, photography, and digital art.

 

I also hold Advanced Certifications in Cosmetic Tattooing—including Ombre Brows, Feather-touch Brows (Microblading), Eyelash Enhancement, Top & Bottom Eyeliner, and Nano Lips (Lip Blush)—as well as Skin Needling, mesotherapy, chemical peels, and BB Glow therapies.

NEW SERVICE:

I am expanding my services by introducing traditional tattooing, supported by extensive body-art experience and a strong eye for composition, design, and colour. I am particularly focused on developing expertise in black-and-grey realism, along with other techniques in this intriguing and exciting branch of body art.

My work has received several recognitions throuought my career, including First Place and People’s Choice awards at the Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo and Australian Body Art Festival, where I was also an official judge in 2024.

INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP:
Since 2023, I have served as Official Hair and Makeup Director for the Australian Wearable Art Festival, leading approximately 25 artists and coordinating around 40 national and international artists and models across three shows.​​
